Submission Preparation Checklist

As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.
  • The paper is original.
  • The submission has not been previously published or submitted for consideration by any other journal (or an explanation has been provided in the Comments to Editor).
  • The submission file is in OpenOffice, Microsoft Word, RTF or WordPerfect format.
  • Whenever possible, URLs are provided for references.
  • The text follows the formatting and writing parameters indicated in the Author Guidelines, which appear in Author Guidelines.
  • The article should not exceed 10,000 words, including references.
  • If any AI tool (ChatGPT, Gemini, Copilot, etc.) has been used, it has been declared at the end of the manuscript, after the bibliography, the purpose of its use: writing, editing, analysis, information search, etc.
  • You have written a submission addressed to the journal editor, stating why your article should be published in SARJ and stating whether there is any conflict of interest: if so, you have indicated which persons from SARJ, Cabrera y Andrade Editores or Instituto Superior Universitario San Isidro should not be appointed as peer reviewers.

Author Guidelines

The main body of the paper follows the IMR format, comprising Introduction, Methodology, and Results. Authors can download a template at:

Bibliographic references should be alphabetically ordered, with paragraph line breaks, justified alignment, size 9 font in Times New Roman. Citations and the reference list must adhere to APA 7th edition style and standards, as detailed in the following guide:

Registration and submission

To submit an article, author(s) need to register as a user at:

All communication between the journal and authors will occur through this platform. The journal sends automatic reminders to the email address provided by the author. Please check your inbox to ensure that these communications are not sent to your Spam folder.

Authorship identification

After receiving approval from the Scientific Committee and the Editor of the journal, the author(s) are required to sign a declaration of institutional authorship, confirming its origin. This can be done using the Authorship and Authorization format, available for download at the following link:

It is important that your profile is updated according to your curriculum vitae and publications in ORCID.

Conflicts of Interest in the Assignment of Reviewers
To ensure impartiality in the review process, the following individuals may not be assigned as reviewers:

  • Individuals affiliated with the same institution as the author(s).
  • Current or former students of the author(s).
  • Advisors or co-advisors of thesis or capstone projects related to the author(s).
  • Co-authors of previous publications with the author(s) within the past five years.
  • Any potential conflict of interest must be disclosed to the editorial board at the time of submission.
  • Members of the editorial or scientific board of SARJ.

Declaration on the Use of Artificial Intelligence
If any artificial intelligence tool was used during the preparation of the manuscript—regardless of how minimal its contribution may have been—this must be explicitly declared at the end of the document, following the references section. The purpose of its use must be clearly stated (e.g., for information retrieval, writing, editing, data analysis, or other tasks).

Additionally, the AI tool used must be properly cited in the references, including its name, version, and developer.

Full responsibility for the content of the manuscript lies solely with the author(s), including any claims from third parties or potential instances of plagiarism.
