June to November 2025:This issue weaves together diverse ideas and disciplines that bridge biology, social sciences, education, and gender studies. It opens with an essay that transfers the biological concept of “chimerism” to the social realm, offering a reflection on identity conflicts and contemporary nationalisms. It is followed by a qualitative study exploring secondary teachers’ perceptions, expectations, and ethical dilemmas regarding artificial intelligence, highlighting the balance between its benefits and risks in educational practice. Next, a systematic review addresses gender and intimate partner violence in Ecuador, revealing the persistence of cultural factors and the limitations in implementing public policies aimed at its eradication. Subsequently, an article employs structural equation modeling to validate and examine the latent dimensions of academic performance, providing insights into how motivation, reading, and inclusion influence learning. The issue closes with a hermeneutic analysis of pornography, gender-based violence, and adolescent resistance in Cuenca, Ecuador, which—through a feminist-intersectional lens—examines how the sexual imaginaries shaped by pornography reproduce male domination while also revealing spaces of critical awareness, youth agency, and possibilities for a freer, more equitable, and emancipatory sexual education.
